One Urgent Request. One Donor. And Great Things Happen

One Urgent Request. One Donor. And Great Things Happen

Last week we received an urgent request from a local foster care worker:

In order for her two-year-old daughter to come home from foster care, a Detroit-area mom needed a few things. Specifically, a toddler bed, adult bed, and curtains.

We publicized the request on our Facebook page. A few days later we sent out an email to our supporters.

Within ten minutes, a donor (who wishes to remain anonymous) offered to buy all the items brand new!

Other wonderful people offered nearly-new beds, bedding, a gift card, and other items.

In the meantime, we're working with the social worker to buy the beds and curtains and reunite a family.

Which just goes to prove yet again:

When our area's foster children are in need, metro Detroiters deliver.
